My god Bumble talk about answering every possible question. To be honest the cut and paste switches me off but I did read most of yours. I agree with a lot of it and never realised the nazi = gabba thing until I moved to Belguim.
Seems a bit ridiculous when the word comes from nice chap!
That is basically a major problem we have here. It's really difficult to get a happy hardcore thing going, which belguim has never had (imagine the marketing coup if successful!) cos once heard people think it is gabba and switch off. Many people are nervous of getting into the scene cos they don't want to get smacked up by some nasty skinheads. To be honest that's why i got involved in the dance scene in the uk, being sick of getting punched up to sh!t music at 'Ritzy' each week.
However please then explain the difference between Speedcore and Deathcore? Or would you say they are the same thing?
Also I disagree with happy hardcore being for teenagers thing, I am 28 and still love it over all other dance music, Its fresh funny interesting entertaing and new, I have also been to a zillion raves all of which did play happy hardcore. The Mix mag culture in the uk did for a while try to kill it of and the scene did go quiet and underground but as any one who was at Slammin Vinyl will agree, Hardcore and Happy Hardcore are still being played and coming back with a vengence!!
I cannot see how anyone cannot see the tongue in cheek aspect to this scene, that is what makes it so amazing. I remember Goth and metal nights, God everyone was so intense about their music and square with trying to be so kewl about it!! That's why I gave up those types of nights not cos the music was bad but cos the people were so fustrating!! Now I don't want to sound like an old crumblie but i guess it's to late for that as I 'm rapidly getting that way but definition upon definition is not always required, it will come naturally thru the conversation, besides I someone will always disgree with you anyway
ps i wrote this all myself

i will live on an island with speed/death/ultrapitch/bouncy/gabbercore playing twenty four hours a day, then i will move away but leave the music playing and when i get back to where ever i move to, i'll turn on the tv and see what national geographic has to say about the new island they have just discovered. the program will be titled, "return to gabba island"

It's a matter of personal preference. I like some gabber, but just because I don't like the rest doesnt mean its shit.
