Or for that matter, coming up with a definition for happy hardcore. Is there really one or two definitive happycore tracks you could play someone and be like "This is the music that is called happy hardcore"?
Oh, and RTC rules...quality from them always.
Happy Gabber = Satan in a clown car...with glowsticks at a rave Oh, and the car is also on fire.

Every time I here them played toxic, they are usually played by gabber dj's who pump up the pitch control, all the hardcore freaks hit the dance floor and are then lead into mystery land by the dj, seem to be used (this is a few years back) as familar tunes by gabber djs to make us feel at home until they blast us with the unknown, good and bad , Also a lot of my hardcore dj mates stopped playing them quicker than my gabber mates (no reflection on quality of tune just and observation) So I class them that way, probably wrongly but that's how they have stuck, just like until my dieing day i will stick to 'Journey' being the original trancecore track 8-)

In Australia gabber DJs stick to playing gabber ie: Promo, Paul, Tommyknocker, DrZ-Vago, Noize Suppressor and so on. its never happens, or very rarely at best, that these DJs play tracks from another genre.

I will stick by what i said, cos that's what i saw. In relation to dutch and scottish gabber now, no they certainly are not but now there is also hardcore that is darker, faster and harder than original gabber. Tanith was about as hard and dark as it came but I would still call him, Dave Angel, Clarkee and Scott Brown (to some degree) Techno Djs. I figure if its included in a set then it can be considered part of that genre, only by this method will I get to remix the carpenter's 'Close to you' and be able to call it hardcore gabber!!

You do realise the threat you place on your safety by doing so, don't you?

I just have to live a little dangerously,
I have always wanted to see a bunch of ravers spannered saying
' It were good last night wasn't it'
'Yeah but I must have been F$*ked I am sure I heard the Carpenters
'I don't remember that!! but I did black out for about 10 minutes!!'
hehehe!!

About 220+bpm and you're digging into speedcore territory. Try this site if you're interested.

toxic....your so serious, Just think we would never had Trip to Trumpton, Magic Rounabout, Whitney Houston 'I wanna dance with somebody' (which is better than the original) , and millions of other remixes. I love the fact hardcore can be serious music but the cheesy element is an integral part of the scene and I LOVE IT!! The carpenters along with the Jackson five are the next logical step,Teehee, I am holding back, what about the Brady bunch and partridge family? I guess even I would draw the line before that!!
But I do feel like original hiphop that dropping the unexspected is what makes cool Djs and the Carpenters would certainly be unexspected!!
