Yeah well I like Collision Course, Manau's "Panique Celtique" and Loco Locass' "Libérez-nous des libéraux" (but since the last 2 are in french I doubt much of you people know what I'm talking about ;)

Let me tell you about what it was like when "hiphop horray' came out! The streets were credible and the most talked about thing wasn't crime it was hardcore hiphop! This is partly credited to naughty by nature who had the positive messages, like "no connections in the drug game!" and "daddy was street corner" that has euphoric realness and vibes. Vibes from atcq, passion from RUN DMC, mentality from LL COOL J, creativity from Busta Rhymes, the list goes on and on because it's all related, if you do your research. KRS ONE has a song called Hardcore hiphop, but it's so much more than a song. There is a hardcore hiphop song for every bouncy hardcore song. I was hoping that someone on happyhardcore.com was as into hardcore hiphop as I am. Hardcore hiphop is about having your walkman on and CDs don't do hardcore hiphop justice. Hardcore hiphop is DESIGNED to feel gritty, loud, alive, vibey, it can be noisy, symphonic, it has the same sort of rules hardcore has.... the difference is the juice the rappers put into their flows. Headbanger by EPMD and Hardcore by EPMD are classic examples. Hardcore hiphop epitomizes the story teller/oral tradition culture and slang that has dodged the mainstream.

I really rate Jay Z
“Everybody is looking for something new these days, something deeper, bigger, stronger, with more dynamics and more climaxes. Basically when it comes to everything, and sounds in particular, we simply want more!"
