HAHA omg. i didnt think anyone still was into a tribe called quest. they are the best man
like hip hop with out the stupid girls feeling themselves and all the stupid clothes and dodgy lyrics. their hip hop is back in the day when it was just hip hop. no strings attached.
GO TRIBE.. i love the short guy.

Mate, you didn't think anyone still listened to Tribe...? They're absolutely genre defining! Without them hiphop wouldn't have been shaped the way it was... Ice T, NWA, Tribe, Sugarhill Gang - all the "educational rap" is how it should be, not all this crap about shooting rival rappers to "git money". 50 Cent is an insult to hiphop.

That's why I get annoyed when people just label hiphop as shit, because 95% of the "normal" population have probably only ever heard mainstream "pop-hop" (a term I coined, I think :D). Underground and oldschool hiphop is where it's at ;)

Makaveil(2pac's name when he released underground) - 7 day theory
B.I.G - Ready To Die
Dr. Dre - CHronic, Chronic 2001
Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle

2pac is the best poet of are time period. Give "Keep Your Head Up" by 2pac a listen and You'll understand what Iam talking about.
Anything early - mid 1990's west coast was just amazing.

Keep it real. Brand Nubians, Pharcyde, Rakim, Kriss Kross.... Lot's of hiphop for different tastes out there. Some of them still make records, others made piles of $$ and no longer record. Records that come out today are 95% B.S.

Haha Kris Kross I remember them. My mom bought there cd for me in like '98 for a $1. I still think she paid too much for it, but there was on track I like. "I MISSED THE BUS.....OOOHHH!!!!" I still got it.
