They are a really safe and sound bunch of guys! They are very helpful, and they really will give you a BIG break if they have the reach!
All the Hardcore big name DJs are sound! Every single one of them. There isn't one who won't give you the time of day. Yes you pretty much need to be the complete DJ & Producer package to REALLY break through. Those rules aren't hard and fast though!
I'm looking forward to the coming years :)

Just listening to one of you mixes now mate. I like your Youtube page! Good promotion that is. I don't know what type of budget you are on, but it's good to get a Pioneer setup, as that's club standard. I know it isn't cheap though! Well... I got DJ bookings initially, as my friends promoted events. I know not everyone is that fortunate. Then I started attending raves in the City, and met promoters, and then bookings started happening... Then I got a residency! Which lasted 10 years! So I was very fortunate in that regard. It was partly through my residency that I met everyone! Then I found attending ALL the big raves a financial struggle, and I had started a coach company which I lost grip of, which my friend still runs to this very day LOL! So I started another one, in Cardiff, which is the closest City to Bristol where I live. It was through running coaches that I REALLY got to meet the movers and shakers behind the scenes. So that's what I did, hope that helps you out! Write music too! Try to get in with producers and get making tracks. You don't HAVE to produce yourself. It helps to know what you are on about though haha. That can only come with experience though. The movers behind the scenes look out for people who write tracks! Enjoyed your mix so far mate! Keep at it!

Just to say... It was very difficult for me to decide on positioning Dougal, Gammer, Styles & Breeze. I positioned Dougal first, as he discovered me and gave me my first big break, then Gammer as they are a team, then Styles... as he's SUCH a big name, then Breeze... I feel bad putting Breeze last though, as I get along with him really well and we speak fairly regular. The order should really be Breeze, Dougal, Gammer, Styles LOL!

It reminds me of the very early days of USH, where everyone was just so positive and upbeat, and no one would be mocked for not being cynical and jaded. I love it.

Thanks arpz :) I love the site! I didn't realise Silver ran it, I think my brother knows him quite well. He runs a big event doesn't he? Is he from America or Australia? I can't remember...
I used to love USH Captain Triceps! A shame the owner didn't sell it on or something and decided to close the site instead.

I miss USH more than I should, even after all these years, but it was probably for the best that it ended when it did. I just wish he would have 'locked' all the forums so no one could post or sign up, at least we could look back with tears of laughter.

Can't say I'm disappointed that all the threads have vanished, to be honest

I posted a bit at the tail end, used to lurk in the 00's, to be honest, I actually miss the jaded humour from there a lot. There's been a few little remarks in this thread that reminded me of that
