I'm not sure really, seeing as most vinyl isn't really worth "anything" monetarily anymore what is "prized" to me is really records that have memories attached to them, I suppose.
Records which once cost into the ?70s can now be picked up on discogs for ?10
Digger - Church Of Ra/Nanukai used to be one of my "Prizes" as it spent about 7-8 years being a very very hard to find record. I picked it up for ?40 and thought I got a deal, well I did back then. Now it can be picked up in it's offical sleeve for ?15.
All this stuff seemed to stop being "rare" as the bulk of people switched to digital, ripped their vinyl and sold it on.
For me the real prizes now are the first pieces of vinyl I owned back in 98.
Hardcore Cheddar - The Dutch Masters Volume Four
The Sound Of Happycore 97
Core Foundation Album
FX Feat Lisa - Here With Me
Stompy and Troop - Tricky
DJ Stompy & D'Skys - Better Universe
DJ Stompy - Thoughts Of You (Lost Mix)
DJ Stompy - Believe In The Beat/Storm - Itch It Up
DJ Stompy & D'Skys - Better Universe
DJ Energy - King of Rock/Hustler
Force and Styles - Fireworks (Storm Mix)
and disc 1 of The World Of Vinylgroover Part 2 (The one with the brilliant Force and Styles remix of "I Can't Live Without You")
So if the house was going up in flames, these would be in trip #1 of "save the vinyl"
I'm a real sucker for the compilations on vinyl and of the ones I have these are quite cool to me (no pun intended)
Chilled Euphoria
Deep and Chilled Euphoria
Bonkers 2
Off Yer Nut(3xLP) ...why they thought it would be a good idea to release the mixes on LP? I don't know but it's still quirky.
There is also a fair amount of children's song/story records I have which are ones I grew up with as a wee nipper. Was probably listening to them from 5 years till about 10. (and now 28 to 30 onwards)
Would like to hear clips of the sonic one, there don't seem to be any clips on youtube and it's discogs page doesn't have a sample either. I notice one of them is called "In The Jungle Zone" Is it actually remixes of the sonic jungle level tune?
*edit* just checked, the simpsons one has had it's youtube vid removed from it's discogs page too. =(
you can pick 'em both up for a tenner though so don't worry too much about loosin' 'em

Such an under rated tune. I also own that one! Bought it for that tune.

I have a few, as stated, mainly for a personal reason or sentimental thing but the best are probably my collection of all 9 go mental golds in oriiginal sleeves which when turn over and all placed together make a picture of the go mental gremlin. I also have go mental gold number 10 as a picture disc, so those ten records are precious due to being 17 when I finally aquired the
Ast one ro complete the set!😄

Thought I'd post here instead of creating a new topic....
Does anyone know any Vinyl to MP3 services in the UK ?
I bought a vinyl from Australia and I seriously don't want to spend another 100+ on a turntable to rip 1 track..

Not hardcore but I have a big collection of everything that Tony De Vit released up until his death. They include some rare test presses and 1 acetate as well that I secured a few years ago.
I've basically collected them since I was 13 years old (so over the last 20+ years) and first heard TDV play a set on Radio 1 Essential mix. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have started listening to "alternative" music (as my friends put it) as they were all into blur, oasis, etc, and there was me listening to House, NRG, Hard House and later into Jungle, D&B & Hardcore :)
