Noted. It's the same for me and it will be gone when I get a chance as all videos have like/share feature anyway.
Regarding "exclusively hardcore" - it's pretty self explanatory so I'm not going to get into the whole "genre" debate.

I do know that tunes have multi-influences but it gets all messy with years only.
So there should be tags with genres and uploader can decide which tags he pick (similar like soundcloud, just with static tags). with static genres software should categorize tunes once after they have been uploaded.
Example:
1 Freeform with breakbeat bits
-> uploader picks [Freeform] and [Breakbeat] after upload
-> website categorizes video in 2 genres but it will be counted as 1 new video, because all tags after first one cause an repost, not an new entry in database.

I see where you're coming from but it's in years for a reason. I'm not going to start adding loads of categories that I don't think need to be in there. If the site was dealing with more modern music then I would tend to agree with you but as it doesn't I don't

I dont got them, but based on discogs, Now is the time 2001 and Here's Johnny remixes are from 2001, and they do sound more happy hardcore than the releases after.

If it's just those then I don't see the point. Both had really well known originals and if they're titled 2001 then it's clear they where well after the '99 cut off.

If you wish to list a specific style(s) that appears from 93 to 00, then you'd just better of actually completing it instead of just cutting it at 2000, or 1999 if Hardcore died in 1999.
I'm not trying to be pushy or a bully here, but What is this site's purpose? To cater for your own taste in Hardcore or for everyone elses?

The purpose is to cater for hardcore from the 90's before it changed into the trancey style. Ultimately there has to be some kind of cut off point so I chose '99 as it was pretty much the end of that era/style and also the end of the century. The site isn't to cater for my tastes alone, my uploads will take care of that, but it's an idea to get together a big resource of tunes from '92 - '99.

If available, links to legal online shops to purchase these tunes would be great as well. I doubt that a lot exist, but anyway. Maybe it pushes some of the old farts to re-release their tracks.

Good idea though it would be awkward to enforce. I mean, you could just put links in the video description but then they would have to be 1) Searched for by the uploader to begin with 2) Checked by a moderator to ensure it is genuine. It is a good idea though.

i have a few bouncy techno/gabber tracks i managed to move onto my pc just before my laptop died but no really sure about what year they were released so i'm gonna do some research before i upload anything
EDIT: Does quality matter because some of the tracks are not very good quality i would like to try and fix them but don't have a clue how i should do it

I think its absolutely fantastic - I am especially loving the idea about putting links to the big sites where you can buy these things, like either the artist's themselves site or trackitdown/imo/beatport etc etc
youtube is good for listening to music, but you have to know what you're looking for first, with a site like this, you could just spend hours clicking around...listening to the labels etc etc
totally agree about the genre thing - keep it to labels and years, things won't get awkward that way (besides...did J-core even exist pre-2000? UK Hardcore certainly didn't exist :P)

a thought though, are you just linking to youtube vids? if the original user deletes them, or has their account taken offline that would mean dead links on the site too no?

I overseen the fact that this site aims for <99 Hardcore. Personally I would add all hardcore genres and re-upload youtube vids to this site so the chances of more registered user are higher.

I guess mortis isnt aiming for linking youtube vids because of the reason you mentioned now.
