Crap.
Most of my town (or county I think) had no power this morning. Luckily I woke up earlier and noticed since I'm sitting at work writing this (or I would've been late :P). But what annoys me the most is that my server's harddrive got taken out :/
When I get home I will try to recover the MBR, or plug it into another computer to diagnos it. But if I can not get it to work, I, ofcourse me, forgot to make a backup for the latest couple of months. So that means my website is taken down to an update I made in September... but that's without my MySQL backup :/

Sorry to hear that. For the future, you should invest in either an additional hard drive for a RAID 1 array or a UPS (better).

i got an ups on my home pc lol
the last one switched off due to power cut during a windows update.... fried
wont be doing that again :)

That is why I have all my computers every three days dump their new/modified files onto a virtual windows server on my Linux server. Then I pay $99 a year, and my files are automatically backed up from that virtual windows server.

i as lucky. it was just the mbr. I fixed it by connecting it to another computer :)

yeah - online backup - looks good, but with upload speeds as completely shit as they are in england...you won't even be on this planet by the time your entire backup has loaded up.

If you have a windows boot disc, you can solve that by using bootrec /fixboot and bootrec /fixmbr. Just FYI if you run into that again.

Josephson: the computer is an Asus EEE-Box PC, it has no Disc-roms, but i do have an externa one, but it was quicker getting the ahrd drive out and fix the mbr on another computer :P
Whisp: I dont think nuclear power helps much if a cable breaks :P

bough an Fujitsu Esprimo Q510 and exchanged my Asus EEEPC Box. It was very underpowered for what I also used it for (other than as a webserver).
