Anyone else hyped for this? I'm pretty damn interested after checking out all the E3 stuff. I was pretty much sold as soon as I heard about Pikmin 3 mind. :D Can't wait to get my hands on one and if these 5 games are out at lunch I might even drop some money on it then... Not got a console at launch since the N64!
Pikmin 3:
Project P100:
ZombieU:
New Super Mario Bros. U:
Rayman Legends:

Well I'll be looking forward to them when they do eventually come. Not sure how you can only get hyped about 2 particular games though. :P
Well I've never liked games that rely on strategy (which I presume Pikmin is about), and none of the other games appeal to me.
And only 2 games? This is from who bought PS Vita solely for 1 game, Ys Celceta: Sea of Trees :P

Ah I love strategy games! Was hooked on them after Age Of Empires released. I think I have pretty much every one on the PC from then until around 8 or so years ago when I just couldn't keep up with games as much anymore.
Haha fair enough. :P I guess the main reason I got a 3DS was to play Tales Of The Abyss and I imported a US PS2 to play Tales Of Legendia so I'm a fine one to talk. ;) Always end up grabbing others though.
Didn't even spot there was a Ys game on the Vita! Looks good too, enjoy it? I've been holding off so far due to rubbish launch titles and them damn memory stick prices.

It does have great launch titles, especially Nintendoland. I might actually get back into nintendo this generation, i thought the Wii was gunna be a failure when they first showed it, and I was right, so i didnt buy it. But the Wii U looks great (im suprised Mass Effect 3 is gunna be on it).

failure? the Wii was only a failure because of the lack of 3rd party titles. The console whooped both the xbox and the ps3

Controller looks very awkward to hold for anything more then five minutes.
I dunno man, if you see it from the back it does have hand grips. - From the front it looks like a tablet but it does have something to get hold of. Everyone at E3 was saying it is comfortable and light.

Yeah the Wii outsold them both by a fair bit. A failure in some gamers (I hate that word) eyes but a massive success from a business perspective. I actually really liked my Wii but then I do have a 360 and PC so didn't miss out on many of the multi plats/exclusives that I wanted. Galaxy 1/2, New Super Mario Bros, Skyward Sword, Xenoblade, Donkey Kong Country Returns, The Last Story, Pandoras Tower, Mario Kart Wii, Dawn Of The New World and a good few other games gave me plenty great games to play.
I think with this one though if they pull off what they seem to be doing and get a load more 3rd party stuff they could really be on to a winner. I would be happy if I can avoid buying another console this gen and just stick to PC and Wii U personally. No doubt I'll get suckered in by some exclusive though haha.

I'm probably going to get one but I just haven't really been sold on it yet...especially after hearing no price point, lack of online multiplayer for pikman makes me worry about their online commitment, and the filter(s) they are adding for online communications. this plus their launch lineup mostly seemed like a list of games I'm already done with =P
I go retarded for mario games and I'm interested in p-1000 (which got no love on their e3 presentation) & zombi u which is why I'll probably wind up getting one.
Happy to see some mature games getting some attention from nintendo since the last one I remember was mad world (awesome game btw)

I'm sure thats largely do to the fact that it's cheaper than the other two. Game content, game experience, and multiplayer experience, all go too the other two consoles (xbox mostly, but thats just cuz im an xbox fanboy :P )

I have pretty much given up on video games myself, but I will get this only for the purpose of the upcoming WiiU Zelda game, whenever that is. I miss playing my zelda games and regret ever getting rid of all my systems and games from Wii and before. Although I do have a PS3 still, but I mostly use it for BluRay.

I bought an Xbox 360 twice and a PS3 for this generation. Sold off the 360 and I barley touch my PS3 even when I get a new game. I guess I'm not really a console gamer. After the NES, SNES, N64, PS1, PS2, and Xbox I just stopped caring about consoles.
I want to rant so here:
Since I've been born I've been a PC gamer at heart. And I don't understand why people continue to buy consoles. All the multiplatform games shown at E3 this year were played on a PC (Watch Dogs, Need for Speed, Far Cry etc etc.) with an Xbox 360 controller hooked up to them.
But honestly mouse and Keyboard combo is the only way to play video games. Look, Nintendo is great and I honestly think they are the only Console manufacturer we need. They have original titles that wouldn't fit well on PC and its great with all the work out things they have. Nintendo just kicks ass.
As for Xbox or PS3, just buy a damn PC...almost 1k and then just update it every time new consoles come out and your set. That's 1k this year with new consoles. In 5 years you spend $500 on upgrades. Plus those damn controllers just suck! Mouse and Keyboard is a natural feeling!
If more people played PC we would have better games. Honestly, we would. Half the community wouldn't be retarded since they would have to learn computer skills and we wouldn't be playing with 12 year olds ALL THE TIME! And besides with all these steam sales you're actually saving money.
If we had more PC players we wouldn't be getting shitty ports and thus no reason to complain about anything. There's a reason why Halo and Gears of War on PC are regarded as some of the best PC games. It's just overall better to be a PC gamer in the end.

the Wii U is said to be more powerful than the PS3. But then, has anyone really mananged to get 100% out of the PS3 yet?
