How many people on here like Hardcore Techno and Gabber? How big is the scene in America as well? All this kind of stuff is gaining popularity up North and even down south now, so I was just wondering :)

In my corner of N. America (Southern Alberta) Gabber/Hardcore Techno is fairly popular. There have been several all gabber parties lately, and one of the longest running series of parties is an all-gabber event called Resurrection, also there is an hour long gabber show each Friday night on our local college station, which, pathetically enough, is one of the only techno shows around!
I personally don't mind listening to it, so long as I have something else to go chill out to and relax.

i prefer the older stuff but a couple of the new style tunes are quite catchy. the only places around here that really seem to book hardcore is chicago, even they don't seem to book as much as they used to. i really miss wisconsin's endless amounts of hardcore parties, drop bass needs to start doing some more of those since it's been like 4 years since the last major one =P

Fakin hell! Gabber on college radio! I wish I could hear Gabber on the radio :)

Odd that, I thought in America they liked it all cheesy and weren't much into the harder stuff. Its all cool tho :)

I love it! The only stuff you hear here in brisbane is freeform and nuskool gabber which is gay sometimes because i love all kinds of hardcore but as long as there is something its ok.

I know Omar Santana is, I've heard a few new tracks of his and seen him spin a set recently. Rob G has been putting out a track or 2 recently as well, or at least remixes of his old songs. My friend TechnojeW got a neophyte remix of this old Rob G track just a few weeks ago and it was fresh pressed.

Plus this Gabber remix of Kylie 'Can't get you outta my head' Good lord, that was creepy! The vocals were just a touch distorted... yikes!

I like oldskool Hardcore, but i don't like the newstyle Gabber as much, it's trying to hard to be scary and so called "Terifying", and they do it so much it sounds like somthing out of lord of the rings, as if trolls are going to war=P

I like the oldskool stuff caus it's intensely crazy, and chalked full of samples, and u can mix it with Happyhardcore caus it's not as boringly slow as newstyle.

My god how long have those mice been living your back fat?!?!?!
