It's been about 3 or more months since I was last on the decks. Growing tired of the music as it is today I've been concentrating on making tunes the way I want them to be rather than moaning about other people's tracks because they're not what I want them to be.

Anyway, I made this mix yesterday full of good old fashioned hardcore. One of the idea's was to include some of my own tracks but they are not ready yet. It's the 4th installment of my Turn the Lights series. Had a few problems due to the records being old so bare with some of the vinyl crackle and stuff. Had to re-do the beginning of the mix due to distortion of the first track so the intro's pitch is a bit strange. Started to loose it towards the end though

Anyway, hope you enjoy: http://www18.zippyshare.com/v/56581178/file.html

Tracklist as always is available on request.

Ya know it's ashame no one else has taken the time to listen to this mix Stu has put on here.
He bought some old vinyl the other day from Seed's records and thought i'll do a mix for the guys on the forum but why does he bother.
And another thing it would of gotten more recognition if Silver had left people to put their mixes on hardcore discussion like it used to be.
Dont think a lot of people have twigged on that this is the thread to have mixes put on .

Gotta remember though it is the weekend not everyone spends all their time on this place like me. Bank Holiday w/e aswell chances are most people are out getting trollied. I'd give it time, whenever i up a mix over the weekend it never gets a listen til the following monday, a little bump round then does the trick. But i know what you mean it is a shame when you put as much effort in as some people do (myself included) and try to put together a mix thats a little different from what you usually hear - 1 generic UK Hardcore tune after another - for what seems like no appreciation or even acknowledgement. I stopped uploading mixes and caring if people listened long ago. I just do it now cos i like doing it.

This mix is definitely worth the download and listen, but ive noticed recently that quite a few of the users on this forum arent into anything that doesnt have a HTID or AATW stamp of approval. So its not that the mixes themselves are bad but simply doesnt appeal to a large portion of this audience. Also a lot of people are just lazy to click the link and listen, or too arrogant to listen to anyone elses work and appreciate it. I would recommend upload it to HP but the mix section of that forum seems as baron as a generic southern american dessert with tumbleweeds and stuff

Im sure Triquatra will listen, is there any mix this man wont download?

Sorry to hi-jack the thread a bit there Mortis, just felt like having a little rant lol

I know where your coming from with that.

I'm fed up of these generic 10 minute HTID & AATW youtube mix's showing people with all the latest gear and latest downloaded tracks who can beatmatch but don't have the balls to try anything different. On the new Bonkers thread loads of people have been moaning about the new album and loads of people saying bring the old style back (that's been a thing around here for ages). I dislike the new stuff that much now that I'm not moaning about people bringing the old style back I'm just doing it myself instead. I'm learning how to make old sounding tracks, mixing the classics again which I've been doing for ages anyway. I'm doing all that for me. And I hope at some point other like minded people with more talent might get on board too.

I'm sick of genericore

Yet another good mix with, as usual, a couple of tracks I've not heard before. At least I don't remember them....

and the levels etc is all good as well.

Nice one Stu, thank you.

P.S. I meant to mention this last time. Why don't you get yourself a regular slot on an Old Skool radio station?

and yeh, include your own tracks in the next mix.

downloading now sir! :)

**edit** wierd im having to download/rip it from the mp3 player thats on there....cause i cant see a download anywhere on the page...

and i gotta agree with meathead about the weekend thing, there are far less "active" topics on the weekend because people arent around (i cant be the only one who uses "active topics" surely? if you use active topics you dont miss any posts, no matter what sub cat they are in.
so yea i dl and listen to all mixes that are posted on here (apart from youtube crap, why the hell people think i want to have IE open listening to their mix ive no idea) at work, so any mixes that go up over the weekened i dont dl until monday (or in this bank holiday case, tuesday)
"new mix" topics usually get between 3 and 7 replies... (looking at the search page search subject with the keyword "new mix") and its always been that way even before silver brought in the mixes section..if a user gets more than 7 they are very lucky..or they've struck up a conversation..

I was amazed when i got, i think, 3 pages worth of posts. I think half of them may have been me replying back with summat like "hope you enjoy it" cleverly disguised as a "bump" though a day or two later lol. People on this forum just dont seem too keen on listening to other peoples mixes. Apart from a select few and of course yourself Triquatra.
