As you may or may not know, I run NSR Records http://www.nsrrecords.co.uk
At less than a year old, we so far only have mp3 releases, but our back catalogue includes names such as 'Haze and Suae'
We are keen to move away from the 'digi-label' tag and that is why we are planning to release a professionally made physical CD in April/May complete with artwork etc etc.
The name is as of yet undecided, although it will be a 10 or 12 track unmixed cd with hardcore and 1/2 gabber tracks. It should be a fantastic CD for DJs and fans alike and will only cost around £5 with free postage and packaging.
So...
As things stand there are 5/6 tracks that will definitely feature on the CD release. This means there are plenty of spaces up for grabs! We are receiving tracks from producers every other day but obviously we want the best for our 1st CD release. This is why we are making it 'open' to all producers. So...heres the deal...
If you are interested in being on the CD and have a track in mind but do not want it exclusive to NSR or the track is already signed to another label but you want it on the CD (you would have to ask your label about this) then we are happy to license the track from you or your label, meaning that the track will feature on the CD but will have no other ties to NSR.
If you want your track on the CD and signed to NSR, then it will be exclusive to the label, will feature on the CD, will be pushed to feature on other compilations and will see an mp3 release later in the year.
As this is our 1st CD project, unfortunately we are not in a position to offer an advance....just royalties from sales.

Please dont think Im treading on Ken Masters' toes with this project. This has been on the cards for NSR since we began as a label and I have a good understanding with Ken and I dont think he will mind, as this is a completely different physical project, just like any other cd release.

Altho 'The Core Elite' will be on it anyway (little exclusive knowledge there for hhc.com)
