So I've seen this name pop up quite a few times on the forum and it seems that everybody calls him a thief because he rips off songs from other artists, I myself haven't heard any of his "material" but I'm curious to find out what it sounds like so maybe I can understand why most of you hate him and off course so that I don't make the same mistake if I ever get into producition.

Lol, I dont know how the "scene" is in Belguim but over here pretty much all the chavvy teen school children are into their own version of hardcore. Which is basically Uk Hardcore or Happy hardcore songs sped up with out of time samples placed over the top. That is what Rankin does. The hatred comes from (In my opinion)
1. Hating what he does because he calls himself a dj/producer for this
2. The fact that the songs are terrible
3. He has branded his name over so many classic hardcore songs and now everyone thinks that there his
4. The fact that if you mention some of the greatest hardcore producers to the new generation of ravers they won t of heard of them but they will of heard of Rankin, Cammy etc...
5. Hes a C*nt!
Edit: Also i really wouldnt be supprised if he had a fake account on here just to try and keep his name alive among true ravers....

just type in dj rankin on youtube and you will see. His 'remix' of object of my desire is shocking, the sample is about 3 and a half minutes away from fitting in with the beat

So my conclusion: Burn this mother****er down. Mod can close this thread now or something :P

i wasnt goin to reply to this as he isnt worth my time. i know the op didnt know anythin about wankin, but in future all wankin threads should be ignored. he isnt worth the exposure

lol yet again another topic about the waste of space!
I was at Fantasy Lands 2 in Edinburgh in April and I was jumpstyling when Deepack was playing and suddenly this guy came over to me with a white full face mask and said "quality jumpstyling mate!!" he then took it off and it was NONE OTHER BUT RANKIN HIMSELF lol...
I told him where to go :) haha

If you have met rankin and failed to murder him in way which is brutal, slow, and extremely painful then you, my friend, are too part of the problem lol.

Well I wasn't gonna get myself thrown out of Fantasy Lands...I was looking forward to seeing Showtek etc...AND I don't see the point coz he's just a waste of time...AND SPACE!

hehehe, what on earth makes you think we have a happy hardcore scene? :p
Happy hardcore died here in the 90's, our hardcore scene consists of the gabber, breakcore and speedcore scene.
Closest thing we can get to a happy hardcore party is a set of of classics broken up and made breakcore at a breakcore event (like FFF does) :D
