Through lovin the dark vocals of bjork i want to sample some dark ambient vocals.....cos there so f*ckin beautiful.
Basically got into it through bjork and tricky, got some sneaker pimps any other suggestions off the musiclovers on here would be swkd. Anno it aint the same but Massive Attack "Angel" has exactly the type of vocals am lookin for
The darker/more ambient/tripped out/evil/beautiful you can recommend the better, dark and poerful vocals over hard techno is really doin it for me productionwise at moment.
Cheers folks

I've been listening to alot of Hooverphonic lately. Not that dark and evil sounding, but its great down-tempo stuff

That defo covers the main ones I can think of.
Bit a small genre/music style when you start to really think about it.

Pretty much anything by DJ Spooky would come in handy if you want trippy and ambient. As far as jazzy goes, there's always Cut Chemist, DJ Shadow, and DJ Food.

Yeah, Portishead is definitely Trip Hop... Get the first album! Used to freestyle to that back when I was into Hip-Hop... How about Sade'?

Also, check out Ninja Tunes... That's closer to Hip-Hop ("Leftfield"), but some vocals... http://www.ninjatune.net

What exactly is this trip hop that I'm missing out on? I've only ever heard it mentioned in Blade 3 :p
