I'm also starting to try & learn it myself, very complex indeed. I've looked trhough the turorial tracks ect, but sometimes it's not always clear to see how the effects are being used & triggerd. Then again, I am a musical retard when it comes to stuff like this.

Sounds dark, it took me about 3 months to get to grips with the basics. I thought it would be a lot easier. I used to use Playstations Music 2000 and Rave Ejay, but it's nothing alike when it comes to loading all your own samples, using synths, automation, fx etc. I think I finished my first song after using fruity about 6 months lol. Im just slow hehe :) I am willing to show you some things that I have learned and bulby_g rules so you have a good tutor :D Sounding good upto now keep at it.

Soz mate haven't been on MSN much since you posted this, I have added you but haven't caught you on there at all.
One good place to start would be to get some good kicks and percussion sorted... I can send you some good samples for that if you like? As for other sounds that's a bit more difficult... Depends what your trying to create and what synths you have?
Learning to structure a track shouldn't be too hard. Just find a track with the sort of layout your looking for and loosely follow it, see what it adds/takes away etc.
