right im trying to record clips of my vinyl to help me sell them, have been using the recorder on windows but you only get a minute and quality isnt all that.
any recommendations as to what i need to get it done better.

Try http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ Free, easy to use. Will do the job fine enough.

cheers lads think i'll go with the free one, am not bothered about professional quality just need enough to record these tunes and a couple sets.
