Hey there,

I have got Fruity Loops Studio 6, quite liking it so far, not exactly hard to pick up, infact rather simpel to learn the basics... I think it does certainly get ALOT more advanced when you come to wanting to put a song together rather then just making a short chorus or 10/20 second beat.

So any ways, I am wondering, does any one have any good refferences to websites that have tutorials / videos for Fruity Loops? I have seen Cubase has thousands upon thousands of books, DVD's and even software to help you learn it.

I am thinking that maybe it is worth giving up on Fruity Loops and taking up Cubase before I waste too much time learning something that doesn't have the majourity or resources. I mean if I pick up Cubase I could quite easily get some tutorials and videos and get to work, but Fruity Loops it is a bit of trial and error.

Any way, any help / your thoughts would be much, much appriciated ^_^

P.S. god knows what was up with that gas_tank guy earlier :S

The FL site has loads of videos explaining how to use pretty much everything to do with the program but you must have a registered version to view them if I remember right... Also the programs help function explains absolutely everything and the forum is useful too.

I wouldn't say FL doesn't have the resources ;).

I used FastTracker II in '98 and Buzz in 2001 and it took until 2006 that I decided to give Cubase an honest shot. So through all of these years I have learned to use my tools properly, but when I tried to get going in Cubase I understood nothing.
And so I watched the ASKVideo tutorial on cubase and it was VERY good.
I just sat there and watched through it all and the second I sat down to write some music in cubase after having seen that tutorial, it worked like a charm!
Now, given that I've been using these programs for a while I know most of the terms and what they mean so that tutorial was really good for me, but I don't know how a newbie would reflect over them.
All in all I think you should at least give them a try.
