I much prefer using vinyl as you have complete, instant control (on decent decks anyway ; )) which I just don't feel on cdj's and it's more fun as well IMO.

On a completely different tip...
I love my cdj's.
-Wack cds (any genre) can now be sped up to a speed I like and it makes a BUNCH of cd's more enjoyable. youd be surprised.
-Soundtracks/Singles/Compilations can be played whenever, wherever making you a perfect candidate for house parties. (Having so much different type of music, we all have our different tastes)
I'm nowhere near great when it comes to beatmatching hardcore all night....yet. But i did my first house party over this weekend and now im booked at least 3 more times in less than two months. Granted i played other types of music all night. But thats what cdj's do.
Vinyl is still badass and i respect everyone who uses em.

Listen to one of my mixes and find out.
I was a "vinyl guy" for 12 years, but made the switch to CD a short while back.

mainly prefer vinyl as I'm more comfortable scratching on it, but cdjs allow you to do some nifty tricks on them as well...even though sometimes I feel like I'm cheating =P

What about combining the two?

I prefer the clarity and the kick ass quality of CD. Digital media is where its at.
