k geeza's im on reason 2.5 just need to know how do i make my tune go from quiet to loud just like a drum roll does but using a maelstrom or subtractor nn xt or nn 19 so i can slowly introduce my tune as it raises up
if someone could help that would be great cheers geeza's

hehe k mate lemme give ya a bit of my background:D
i can make dudey drum loops nice leads blah blah im used to fl studio where u just went on piano roll at bottom and selected ther channel vol and made it rise
so how could i do this in reason and could ya make it retard proof;P

Right click on the button/knob you want to automate and then draw :)

you can also edit the velocity of the sound so that the hits become harder, this is useful on snare rolls especially.
to edit the velocity i use the line tool, the velocity levels are shown as red lines below the piano rollif you draw in a line so that the velocity level goes from quiet to loud you can create rising snares for fills e.t.c

I don't know reason so I don't know what maelstrom or subtractor is but I assume there some sort of built in software synth's? Anyway if they are you could always try automating the cutoff or attack (or whatever), that would also gradually bring in the sound but (can) be more interesting.
