They do, keep an eye on the compilation charts. I dont think it's more popular than trance though there is just more trance albums to choose from.

dont know if that reasoning about trance having more albums makes it more popular. i know there are a lot of starting dj's around my area that make trance because they think its the shit on any form of drug. which is my reasoning to why we have more trance nowadays... grrr

I think bulby_g means, because there are more trance compilations out there the trance fans have a lot to choose from and don't all go and buy the same one, whereas there are less hardcore albums so the hardcore fans tend to all buy the same ones so they sell more on their own. I'm sure if you compared the number of hardcore CD's and trance CD's being sold there would be alot more trance CD sales.

ha, yeah. exactly: years ago. don't judge me by them! ;)
my tables have been broke for awhile. so i sort of fell out of the scene, i guess. i wouldn't really say that "i'm back," however, but i definitely appreciate the fact that this website is still running strong, and that people are still into hardcore as much as i used to be. it was a big part of my life a few years ago.
keep it strong!
btw - are scott brown & hixxy still doing the whole freeform/played out trance style?
