Hi Everyone,

What it is is where I live I have no computer in my room and my sterio has no way for me to record to it (because basically its a crap system).

What is the best way besides buying a laptop for me to record my mixes?

Is it possible to do it with an mp3 player? becuase that would be perfect for me to then take my mix and burn it to cd.

Cheers,
Tommy D

if u havent got a computer, how ru gonna burn ur mixes 2 cd anyway?? u need 2 buy a pc, (doesnt have 2 be a great 1) if u only want it 4 recording mixes, get a half decent sound card and a copy of soundforge or cool edit pro and your away.. its the only way ur gonna get decent sounding mixes (in my opinion) or a dat recorder, which will cost u as much or more than a cheap pc... up 2 u

You could get a mini-disk player and record onto that. Are you using you stereo to monitor with? If you are, can't just just record onto tape, through aux in or phono in, it's better than nothing till you get a computer.

At the moment ive got a set of seperate speakers as monitors cos my stereo doesent have any input sockets (never buy a Teac stereo, trust me!).

MD is a good idea though cos i know they are pretty cheap now. i suppose thats the great thing about dead/dieing technology...

You could buy a tape player/recorder mp3 player or mini disk but you would not have to pay alot more for a cheep computer that would be much better suited to the task.
