As some of you may be aware, i have been working in a pub for the last couple of months.
i've always complained about how boring and crappy it is there so last night really did come as a shock to the system.
at around quarter to midnight last night while me and my co workers were just cleaning the bar after every one had gone, we were broken into by two armed men who forced me and my mates into our drinks lift and barricaded us in there.
Our manager who was in the office had just put the mass some of money into the safe but was being held at knife point to give them what there was.
luckily none of us were injured during the ransacking but they managed to get away with 2,500 pounds (a good 4,500 dollars or something) in coins.
during this time myself, my friend alex and my mate rebecca were in this lift blocked in.
when the police came we were still in there waitin ( this all happened within about 10 minutes or something)
i recognised the sound of their radios as they came in, and as i opened the door to this small lift, this officer was right in front of me with a massive trungen and was about to batter the living excrement out of me thinking i was one of the robbers hidden away.
he actually scared me more then the bloody thieves did!
all in all, quite an interesting evening last night, and i didn't even get a free drink. gutted.
 Honestly officer, it's for medicinal purposes! Just ask my doctor, he's right over there eating the curtains!

couldn't you have pursuaded them to leave like all other unwanties with some steady pummelling?!

Holy shit - sounds like a heavy night to say the least - good to hear you came out un-hurt though.

well, it spiced up your life a bit ;)
but when comparing money and people, then money has no worth at all..
much better that the money went than human lives
glad that noone was hurt (except for the temporal mental damage)

I use to work in the pub and the only action I saw was old white men telling racist jokes. Then again I worke dout in the coutryside, dont think I could handle a inner city pub, not the ones near me anyway.
