I produce at home as well. I use Logic 6, FL Studio 4.5, ProTools, and Cubase SX. Also live in Virginia Beach, VA. I actually produce most of the songs I play at events, and then just don't release the material so I have some original stuff to play. I've been looking to release/collaborate on tracks though.

Does anyone know how to get a good solid hardcore sound out of cubase????

I really need to know because my Happy Hardcore College project is sounding shit.

I need a Fierce Hardcore Bassline.

And if its not too much a tutirial on how to do an INDUSTRIAL/ROTTERDAM baseline aswell.........

Like in the J-Maican Ravers Track "I say" .......

**EDIT**

Also could anyone tell me if there is a drum machine like this in cubase.....

Cubase for hardcore is not for the light-of-heart
its alot different if you compare it to something like fruity,
if your just starting out, USE FRUITY! its the best piece of kit for someone who doesnt know the ropes

"Also could anyone tell me if there is a drum machine like this in cubase....."
the thing with hammerhead is its actualy just and ordanary sampler with samples built in.
Battery is probly the best basic vst sampler, and all that is needed for it to sound like hammerhead is some proper samples to go into it.

BTW: ill show you guys a sneak peak at one of my newbies... www.zigzag.com.au/hubsy/fly.mp3 That was made with cubase btw :)

Hope that helps.

it seemed like you were changing on the 4th bar... sorry is this the right term? i never did music at school! Sometimes tracks will slightly change on the 4th bar but not usually very pronounced. Sorry if i sound negative, its just what i thought at the time :)

better than i could ever do tho!! :D

hardcore you know the score

That's the way I've always put tunes together.....was thinking of going to learn more about it but thought that the tunes will have their own "unique" style if I just learn for myself.
Thanks for the feedback though....it's all good.

hey hubsy get a sampler like halion, kontakt or battery should do the trick for ya.

I have been producing since i was 16 4 years ago.Phosphor gave me my first copy of fruity and worked on it till I was happy enuff with it.

Fruity is an amazin piece of kit, gettin a tune released next month which was made on fruity.

I have now moved on to cubase which is qualitttttttty.Fruity showed me the ropes but what you can do with Cubase is unbelivable.

People sayin how do u get a hardcore sound out of cubase,Experiment its the key to anything.;)

Try gettin Vst's ie,vanguard,fm7,vstation etc...

Then experiment more;p

Take it easy

XL ;)

I started my amateur music production "career" in 2001.
My main artist name is DJ Flatline, though I had pseudonyms eg. Flattron, Sunlight Priest, and started a band called Raver Society.
I'm quite an all-rounder, I make music in many different styles apart from hhc. I also make trancey club-sounds, and in the past one year I started some hardstyle and mainstyle hardcore ;) Hopefully I can get one of my tracks released in 2006...

...And the beat goes on! :D
