Metallica are poor, their attitudes are poor, their music is poor, and their technique and skill levels are poor!
However Iron Maiden on the other hand are in a totally different league to Metallica, Maidens riffs are far more complicated, they have released more albums, have a far better singer in the air raid siren aka Bruce Dickinson who has an icrediably powerful, and emotional voice! Maidens writing skills are so much ahead of Metallica it's not even worth considering! Iron Maiden are probably the best British heavy band ever! They are considered to be among the creators of the metal genre (been around longer than Metallica!), and still to this day are releasing albums (and have never sold out unlike Metallicas poor album Saint Anger!)! 70+ million now sold world wide most of them in Europe. Iron Maidens Visions Of The Beast DVD is probably the best DVD I have seen any music artists release for quality and quantity it's second to none, pick up a copy of that and then tell me Iron MAiden are rubbish!
Besides Metallica were only decent for there first few heavy albums which were of course mainly written by Megadeth legend Dave Mustaine, Which reminds me the new Megadeth album released on 13tth September will prove finally that Mustaine is the better of the 2 American metal giants as Metallica rust in peace!
I admit that somewhere amongst Metallicas crap attitudes there must be something good to have been as succesful as they are, just a shame all there hard earned cash goes on constant therapy sessions because there attitudes are all so crap!
I'm just scared of Lars Ulrich trying to bust Napster......LOL!!!!

Hmmm, recent Metallica = poo, but I have to say that the early stuff is spot on!!! As for Iron Maiden...hmmmmm, a little too "tight leather pants" for my likeng lol

hate em both. Fear Factory, now that's music.
The Berzerker is awesome, but not shit like metallica and those old farts from Iron maiden or AC/DC.

Dont listen metal that much, but like few bands mainly finnish ones e.g. Nightwish, Children Of Bodom, Sonata Arctica etc As for non finnish bands 6 Feet Under is very good...

Thanks dude, I just tell it how it is. My Heavy roots go waaaaay back, and there's not much I don't know about the big metal players. Like I say I just say it how I see, which is most of the time how it is.

You havent heard of Nightwish? You love it or hate it, the lead singer is an opera singer. Took few clips from their site that you should at least listen, to know what their like :)

he had a video where he hid in the gap between walls in a house?
the album was poor and he looked like a homeless version of danny filth, but with AIDS.
anyone know who im on about? im trying to find a pic now.

I know who you are on about......wasn't he or his fellow band members involved in a death of another bands member or something.

Ah I know who they are now, cheers for the links.
Just realised "Children Of Bodom" did imo a piss-poor cover of W.A.S.P's classic Hellion! However saying that, it takes a very brave band to try and cover a W.A.S.P song What with there front mans (Blackie Lawless) interesting voice, and wierd and wonderful stage shows. Still fair play for the effort.

Mortis is just an act...... theres a whole bunch of Norwegian bands who are seriously into all that stuff..... the guy who died got an axe put through his head I think or something. The media claimed it was because they hated each other so much, but in actual fact he owed money...... and they are all proper satanists (or at least like to think they are lol)..... Theres been alot of churches burnt down by various norwegian metallers.... I think some kids tried it over here, but were too dumb to realise that stone churches don't burn!!! LOL
