Poll Question:
This is not a featured poll, just a once off poll
In 3 weeks HappyHardcore.com has to make an important choice concerning the radio, we need your input!
We have three options:
1. Current system with all the feature BUT you must register on a 3rd parties web site first to listen to the radio and then login if you want to listen to the radio. Will only be once if you set a cookie.
2. Current system without the login but without all the advanced features (Synced DJ play lists).
3. Both, but you will have to select which type of stream you wish to listen to.

probably because of what everything comes down to: money =( registering would generate money froms ads or services, no lists means less bandwidth used

i'm happy to register with another site
AS LONG AS...
i don't get a load of junk mail from them. even if there's an unsub,they usually say they take 24 hours to unsub but you're still getting them a month later along with a load of other junk mail.
however,some ppl can't tune in unless they can see what's playing,and some won't want to register and probably don't care about whether they got playlists or not. you gotta have the option of both to cater for everyone

I voted for both with the option to choose...I don't need the playlists and I would rather not have to log on to a 3rd party site...but I would like to see users able to choose for themselves

Firstly this has nothing to do with money for HappyHardcore.com but the service providor I use for stream which is live365, at the prices I am paying at the moment to run the station (yes it costs me money to run the station - and I get no money from the station) they need to target audio ad's better thus the login.
I have a backup shoutcast system ready to roll now but as stated above I would lose the features... Please vote everyone this is important.

make sure you keep both,
all the regulars here would register to see the stats.. and others may too
maybe if you could transfer the snitz database to them as a user/pass/email db?
so we already have a login

The radio is awesome. I love the playlist features and would even be willing to pay a monthly subscription to keep it as it is.....

Thanks for all your input, the radio is going real well, I just recieved an offer to broadcast over satellite to all of Europe... Not sure if I'm going to take it because I would have to give up all advertising, not that I care about money it is I don't want someone else making a shit load of money on something I am doing.

don't mind registering, as long as it isn't to some site that has totaly nothing to do with anything that doesn't interest me. I also don't want any spam or junk in my mailbox. Serious mails are welcome ofcourse.
