axiom, a ton of people come from all over the USA, and i can guarentee you that they live a whole lot further away from canada then you do.
go on the destiny message board, see if you can find some people going from your area and hitch a ride.
the bus is always another option, may be a tad expensive but can't be that bad. if you want to go badly enough, there are ways.
