How did you move on, especially when you still had so many questions left unanswered?

She swore nothing had happened before the split, but it hardly mattered, we were finished and it was her decision. She was getting back with the father of her child. I knew she had seen him once or twice with the kid but didn't really think anything of it. The difficult part was that we were colleagues, and still saw each other every day. Any questions I had were met with dull, predictable replies, "nothing happened", "it's not you, it's me", etc.
The only thing I could do was be the bigger man and keep my head held up, I had everyone's support and a lot of friends which made things easier. If you have a hobby now is the time to get even more into that. I exploited my extra time and freedom and just had fun.
If you've ****ed this person off for good, you're better off without them, as shitty as it sounds. Maybe they'll learn a harsh lesson about herself and change, or maybe she'll do it again.
For what it's worth, I'm still friends with the lady I mentioned, this all happened a long time ago and as we live near each other we often bump into each other and can have a chat. We have our own lives and families now.

New job helped me shut the door behind me when I realised spending so much time in a lonely studio wasn't healthy. I'm not in a busy and lively office and I've never been happier. It's nasty business, but the less time you have, the less time you spend thinking about it.
Remember this, the human mind is a toxin to itself. If you spend too much time in your own thoughts, you will eat yourself up with questions and scenarios. Depression is an easy cycle to fall into this way. Keep yourself busy, and if your lifestyle leaves you isolated and with too much time to ask these questions, consider a change.
