right, just before I go further is it Gabber? Or Gabba? or doesn't it matta? lol

nah but anyway, this "Nu Style" which is really new anymore, I've got a question, the timing, what time signiture is it?

I've got some of my own theories,

it's 4/4 but using tripplets, OR it's a 6/8 signature....or somthing else, I can easily make it on Orion Platinum by changing the patturn length from 16 to 24 or the resultion from 16 to 24 but what is it really?

I think UK garage is crap IMO

what do you mean by 16 T? T? I like coffee too heh lol :)

nah, It's defently not the "Shuffle" option, that's only for ****ing UK Gar(b)age / 2 shit, sorry "2 step"

I think my own theory is right, 4/4 and using tripplets, when the snap to grid is set to triplets. coz when you hear it (ie scottbrown mixes) you can't count the 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3, the kick being on the 1 and if you never heard a note/sound on the 2 and the 3, it would sound normal 4/4 again.

.........I think lol

I think UK garage is crap IMO

4/4 16T

is as so

imagine a normal 4 4 quantize 16 grid

1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4

and now a 4/4 quantize 16T grid

1 2 3 4 5 6 1 2 3 4 5 6

so basicaly it fits 6 spaces into the beat, the middle note is C (were in a 4 4 tune your off bass would go) and that is how most nu style is quantized

in fruity i *think* you can do this by setting 6 tabs per beat

but this is STILL 4/4 not 6/8 nor 3/4 its just the snap/quantize value

hahahaha

it's in swing, like alot of jazz music. this means it's in 4/4, but in triplets, like you originally said hooverlover. there's still 4 beats per measure, but the beats are divided into three rather than two, with the emphasis placed on the first and third of these subdivisions. does that make sense??

just think 12/8 if you're a muso.... or you should be able to get 'swing'.

pacmans explanation is the same as mine, in different words, i tend to use 16, but 8t is exactly the same just half the length

new-style around here just means slow gabba. where standerd gabbere is about +160-200 bpm, newstyle is just +140-160 bpm.And the kick is not as hard as standard gabba.

the kickdrums in nustyle tend to be harder
as its kick drum dominated and usualy 150-170 bpm

standard gabber has a big kick, but not as hard as nustyle, due to its speed

What the hell are thou talking about?
Newstyle is a quite soft style in comparisson to gabber. The newskool on the other hand keeps getting harder and harder.
