Let me throw a guess out there.

- He used his proper name (stupid on an open forum). But hey, 2003-2004 was a different time.
- He said some stuff that might have been considered edgy or illegal (he has edited on drugs and piracy posts?).
- It's time to look for a job (or something that requires a background check, like security clearance or DBS/CRB)
- Employers/security checks now search the internet for an idea on your views/character/etc.
- Oops!

It's a shame that the forum marks an edited post as new content.
