... this used to be my set :P
(Hercules MP3 DJ Controller)
But this is basicly my set now (no image of my own... not tidy :( ):
(Pioneer DDJ Ergo V)
And this is what I use to record my vinyls:
Numark TT-USB (it has both RCA and USB, and I try to use the RCA as much as possible)

Have you noticed a difference between the RCA and USB outputs? I have the Audio Technica LP1240, and the USB output squashes the highs. I was able to record both outputs simultaneously, and there is a clear difference. I know many people have complained about this with other AT turntables and some people removed the built-in preamp.

I don't have a good system to double-check to see if the recordings are good. I've just go based on what I've heard about recording through USB (so I dont use that much)

Here's my modest setup. It's Traktor S2 with some white KRK Rokit 6 G2's (not pictured)
Also pictured are my digital scales and a bunch of e-liquid related mess - I make e-juice and can post anywhere in the UK if anyone wants any? (?5/30ml of quality you'd expect from ?15 shop juice)

These are from a few years back:
These are full of tape packs:
Some of my records:
Some CDs:
My decks are in another room now, where it is difficult to get a decent image because they are awkwardly positioned but I'll try to get one.

Right, some up to date yet still slightly awkward pictures:
Believe it or not, there's about a thousand records hiding in there:
It's not as messy as it looks...
The top of the range production studio where all the magic happens...:
That old keyboard isn't part of the setup, I must add. I don't think you can even connect it to a PC. Completely software based.
I am resident DJ at a pub, there I have a Hercules controller, and American Audio mixer and Citronic turntables, and about 800 records that are mostly reggae, northern soul and classic rock/pop. I leave that lot at the pub though.

There will be a difference because one is going through the Numark audio interface and the other is an analogue output thats going into your computer audio interface. So whichever is better will sound better. With the audio interface on the turntable you get what you pay for, which for some people is just fine.

Among people who have "studied" it, there is a consensus that the analog front-end in the built-in turntable ADC is the culprit (or maybe a bad phono preamp, who knows). It apparently acts as a low pass filter with a cutoff that is way too low, and it sucks all the high end out of the music. I have some soundclips, if anyone is interested. If you don't mind my jazzy country from the 60s.
