As mentioned it depends on the subject and how well it was recorded. I find some of them are pretty good for temporary release from tinnitus though

Yeah, I frequent ASMR videos. I used to get that tingle sensation whenever I watched someone do something personally for me or through some YouTube tutorials but it annoyed me that I never knew what to call the sensation I was experiencing.
I tried explaining it to other people but "that thing when you get a nice tingling sensation in your head" never really landed that well.

I've read about it and it seemed like a cool thing to recreate and checked out some stuff but it does nothing for me because it's too forced. I just find it weird. The linked video makes me cringe (because of the way it sounds) and is hard to listen to even for a second.

I genuinely enjoy the hell out of these but agree with you there. I avoid the "role playing" videos for that reason. I just like it when they make the noises and/or inaudible speech.
