... i've thought of a really interesting topic to discuss.
In your classic party dip selection which one is your favourite and which one is always the one which is thrown away?
So, for me, in a classic party dip selection there is garlic & onion, soured cream & chive, thousand island and cheese & chive.
Without doubt, the best dip is the garlic & onion and my least favourite must be the cheese & chive.
Secondly, if you could swap your least favourite classic party dip for one of your own, what you would you choose?
I think that I would go for a tomato based, zesty salsa style dip for a bit of heat. That would be perfect for dipping crisps in.
Finally, what do you enjoy eating with your classic dip selection? I love the classic fresh, clean flavours of carrot, celery and cucumber. Neutral flavours which really enhance the dipping sauces. Doritos also go very well with the classic dip selection.
Ooof!! Typing this thread has got me all excited. I think i'll dash downstairs and finish off the classic party dip selection which I opened yesterday.

Morrisons have a new "American Party Dip Selection" in at the moment, it's very tasty and offers some dips that aren't available in any other dip selection's I've seen over here!
let me delve in my bin a moment to find the top to it.......
here we go, they're all cream based, so nothing is quite as it seems..in fact basically you might as well read them as "mayonaise with..."
Creamy Sweet Chilli Dip
Smoky Chipotle
Sweet Mustard
Ranch
but fear not, it may say "ranch" but thankfully it tastes nothing like the stuff they sell in America as "ranch" this one is actually tasty!
Dana is a big fan of the ol' Onion and Garlic dip....so she usually buys that in a pot of it's own.
We get whatever is on sale in the crisp isle for ?1 for the big bag, so that'll be Kettle Chips/Doritos/Walkers Crunch
nothing with ruffles/ridges though, for some reason they make me feel really bloated and full very quickly!

I feel you Rowan.
Coincidently, I bought that 'American Party Dip selection' from Morrisons around three weeks ago and I was ok. Although, I really couldn't stand the Chipotle one which I found strange because it's usually a flavour I like. But no, couldn't eat it. Offloaded it to my housemate. Any mustard themed dipping sauce is usually a winner too. The Dominos' honey & mustard is a particular favourite of mine.

Not an answer the Ben's question specifically, but has anyone tried the Peri-Peri Mayo that M&S have started doing recently? Insane.

I'm not a fan of salsa personally.
