Easy Ste! Yes mate, I'm grabbing a hotel (possibly on my own, but more than likely with one, if not two, mates). And yeah, I've used that Travelodge before. The Leeds Central one, yeah?
Cheap as chips! 23 squids. Probably gonna book it quite soon actually. And trains.
Reminds me where you're coming from again? Middlesbrough, was it?

Guys, if you get the Leeds Central Travelodge nearest the railway station, some of our crew are staying there too  we're thinking of staying around for the Saturday night and going to a wicked little comedy club called Mr Ben's

That sounds lovely Dave, but I think we'll make a quick get-away first thing the next day. Expense is a bit of an issue for me :-(
That said, I am pleased to report I've just booked train tickets for me and a mate :-) My friend Adam (who you met at Hard Beats) should be booking his stuff soon too, so that'll be three of us :-)

I'm sure there are a lot of hhc.com members who spend too much time in front of their computers talking about Hardcore and really need to get out a bit more and meet some of their mates from the site... this could be a really good event to get on it, guys

I agree! Problem is, a lot of the guys that would actually come are based abroad or ludicrous distances away :-(
Another thing that doesn't help, is that hardly anyone ever checks this part of the Forum. If you click on 'Recent Topics' on the menu just above the revolving advert on the top right, it gives you the 10, 25, and 50 most recently replied-to topics/threads. It completely factors out the Events section though.
I might ask Silver if he can change that.

the reason I'm posting here is because I saw it in recent topics :P
That said the reason not many pop up, is because people don't often post in them unless forum members are coming, if people post in them, they become active topics and will appear in recent topics
actually i kind of take that back.....I didn't realise there were two!
on the first menu bar, in the drop down for "forums" there is an
"Active Topics"

and then the main one that is there all the time on the secondary forum menu is
"Recent Topics"

maybe better that they are both changed to "active"? hmmm

I've been using this site for almost four-and-a-half years and I had no idea that that Active Topics page existed! Madness!
If they could both be blended together, that would be great. The 'Recent Topics' page has the benefit of being much more noticeable, and also you can select the 50 most recently replied-to topics. If you could add in to that the recently replied-to Events - that would be great!
