Hallo gals and guys!
I became interested about this topic since a couple of weeks, as I started to notice slow developments in my hometown area.
No, there's no Hardcore scene over here (besides a small Gabba leftover), but things are changing, altough to my opinion 98% of the people over here who listen to electronic music can't be called ravers.
To be straight I think that a handful of people have started something to grow over here. There is my favorite club that tries to seperate its image from all the other clubs around, an organiser, who creates events I slowly would define being a real rave and since last weekend I truely think that my small personality is envolved to this as well (and I don't organise raves, I'm no DJ/producer: I simply adore rave music). 
When I started to visit my favorite club the location usually was very empty and you had enough room for dancing all by yourself. After a couple of months this club got crowded more and more. DJs have started to give out glowsticks for free more and more regulary. The same counts about the event series the local event organiser does run. It was a small private meet-up which grew bigger and bigger and now even thinks about organising regulary open-air-events.
I have received some compliments for my dancing style (well, you need to know that the electronic music over here is way slower than in some other countries) and since last weekend I have noticed that a few people even try to copy me.  .
2 months ago at an event I blew some bubbles simply I thought it would be a funny special and last weekend I saw two people doing this as well inside of the club.
My questions are: is it possible to influence a local scene with only a few persons? Have you noticed familiar experiences? Please notice that most DJs over here usually play Minimal/Deep House/Techno (so for my personal definition nothing really rave-able).

I think that only a handful of people can change and/or influence a music scene, it just takes time and effort. I'm trying to break my city into the Hardcore scene, it's just taking a lot longer than I expected. I guess it's gonna take more than dropping some Gammer or Hixxy tracks to influence my city.
But from what I've read about your situation, it seems like you're off to a good start! Keep up the good work! :D

The first question you pretty much answered yourself. You currently are influencing people on how to act/behave at these events and to this type of music. Imagine how much more you can do and influence them if you knew how to dj.
As far as similar experiences, I've influenced a few people to like UK Hardcore, but nothing to the extent of how much I love it. I mean none of them make an extra effort to see certain djs like I do. Granted an 11 hour drive to Nashville, and plane ticket to Spain and Toronto from where I live may be a bit too much lol but they haven't known the music as long as I have. Either way there's only so much you can do to influence a few people, or even a crowd. The rest has to be left up for them to decide on what further actions they take to a new and growing scene.

LOL, OK! Thanks guys! I'm probably just a little bit confused and overextended with the situation of being a pusher, due for more than half of my life I was faced to situation of getting pushed around by others, called being a looser and that I'll never be able to make something out of my life. I still think I'm a looser, but for the first time I think that people have started to kindly notice myself just the way I really am. 
Being a DJ? LOL! I'm happy, that I am able to use computer! I know I am a very musical person, but I rarely have enough time, the technical knowledge, the required equipment, the effort and finally but least the balls to start it. Besides the fact is that DJs over here are not allowed to play the music they like. Clubs and organisers check your tape before booking you. Hardcore and even normal Trance are already out of discussion and there's no chance I'd play boring House/Minimal/Elektro or Techno.

Anyways, not answering your question, but do you need to be a raver just to like the music? I can't say I am a raver (nor a party guy either), but I am trying to make amends by going to HU at the end of this month

It should go without saying that you do not. Liking the music and liking raving are completely separate things though often go hand-in-hand.

I have no skills mate. I can't mix on command, unless I use tracks I've already used before, or mix at the very end of tracks. Taht's how seriously poor I actually am. I can make a mix, if i may practice the songs before hand, but to be honest, I have had a lackluster relationship to hardcore the past 7 years, but I have always tried to make mixes nontheless. (or hassle people so I can buy CDs :P)

Meh! You know the tracks you personaly like and mix them together just the way you enjoy it and that's the way to do it! You're plenty of levels ahead than I am. And I think your mixes already have received enough of good feedback.
