it would make for a nice movie, but the reason most of it won't work is because not everyone in the world has the same view on how things should be run - there are many nations who already see us and our rules..the equality we give women and homosexuals as a sinful and hethonistic, worthy of destruction.
if everybody in the world was of the same mindset you might have a chance.. or maybe you could buy an island and run the community like that, but getting to a worldwide scale...good luck.
if you don't like the way society is run there are many different societys across the world, perhaps the Amish might be more to your suiting blackcrow?

Thats a distinct possibility I have always admired how they maintain such a happy and harmonious life for all the other people in the Amish community.
But they're rejection of science and technology would irritate me.

Happy? as soon as the younger folks get to learn that there's more to life than their settlement, some have even had problems coping with that.
