I live in Sydney but I need to get out if here... for a whole bunch of personal reasons that I won't go into.
But has anyone done this before? Obviously I need to save and everything before I go but I need advice from people who have done it.
You know. Finding a place to live, work etc?

What did you do that you have to move from a wonderful city like Sydney???

I'm doing the same atm, living in Canberra and aiming to move to Adelaide. Scene seems awesome there, started saving and aiming to be there Jan 13 (my oldest starts kindy next year so seems like the time to move). I'm gonna find a job 1st (should be pretty easy as I'm in car sales and in the top 10% for Suzuki in Australia), and will find a place, fly over to inspect it and then move.

Don't move, trust me on this. Sydney and Australia in general rock....
but if you have to move, stay in Australia, perhaps another city, depends on your needs, basically I couldn't move anywhere I couldn't get a decent internet speed... at least Australia has semi caught up now.

don't go to new zealand...unless you enjoy working for bare minimum wage.
Try looking for jobs before you move...its nice to be able to walk straight into a job instead of that uncertain few weeks where you think you've made the biggest mistake of your life.
realestate.com.au (If you are staying in Aus) has a section on share housing..I know living with complete strangers probably isnt your first choice..but it might be your only choice if you dont have friends in the city your going. alternatively i know your probably past been a student but i know for certain in brisbane there is some sick places you can live Ie student accom near unis. its reasonably cheap and your rent includes your power and net etc

If you want to get out of sydney without all the issues associated with moving far, you could try wollongong. If you want to completely get away and forget about sydney, probs melbourne.
