Fury, for anyone that doesn't know, was one of the pioneers of the modern freeform sound with groundbreaking releases on Stompin Choonz (Lemonade Raygun, Insane Asylum, Eardrum, De-Sensitize) and other massive tracks on labels like XY2, GBT, FDN & Bonkers. Fury pretty much gave up hardcore (save for a few bits here and there) in 2003 and has been making breaks and house ever since...
...until now! I tracked him down on facebook and begged him (and begged, and begged some more) to make something, anything for ReBuild Music. He was a massive influence on me and I've got most of his records, so it had to be done! Now Fury has remixed Aryx's 'Chaldea' and the track will be on the next ReBuild album - http://soundcloud.com/rebuild_music/sets/blood-sweat-tears-3cd-out/
There might be a lot of 'new' freeform heads that didn't hear Fury the first time round, if you get chance go and check out some of his tracks that really helped create the worldwide sound we hear today!

Interesting. I'll give his stuff a whirl. I haven't heard of him, I don't think.
What's the basic structure of the CD this time around then Olly? One freeform, two UK Hardcore? Or are you not really organizing it like that? General mixture?

You haven't heard of him? Wow!
Yeah its 3CD, 1st disc is original tracks from Gammer, DJ Shimamura, Fracus & Darwin, Pinnacle & Prospect etc, 2nd disc is UK hardcore/breaks/D&B remixes from big names like Gammer, Technikore, Slipmatt, DJ Shimamura etc plus some newer names, then disc 3 is more freeform orientated, mostly remixes of ReBuild freeform tracks, names like DJ Fury, Douglas, Transcend, Synthwulf, Aryx, maybe Alek Szahala etc plus some gabber from The Speed Freak, Andy Freestyle and more. Basically 2 CDs of hardcore and 1 of freeform, although there will be a lot of variety on all 3 discs with bits of ambient music (!!!) thrown in the mix.

Nope. I've only really been into Freeform in a meaningful way for the past twelve months.

Basically, it will be a lot of different music.
Sounds interesting. Look forward to hearing some of the clips - when are they going to start becoming available?

I don't want to put clips up like 2 months before release so clips will go up probably mid to end of March and then the album will be out mid April - start of May, its over 30 tracks though so its a bit of an organisational ballache! It'll be worth it though, hopefully!

Now you know why Fury was such a pioneer!
I presume you understood what I meant since you didnt use harsh words (ie NuNRG sounded better around the time Fury made freeform) :P
Triq: "I am going to laugh if it is going to sound like NuNRG does today"
