Sup people.
I just renewed the domain name for another year, and I'm going to try to get my website moving again (just one update a day or something). Anyways, first things first - I need to re-upload a bucket load of stuff that I had on MegaUpload. I've never really used anything else.
Can you guys advise me about what is a good alternative to use? It needs to have essentially limitless space, 500MB as a minimum cap on individual file size. No download limits.
That's basically it.
Anyone? CHEESE!

any site that is known as a "file-sharing" site also stores your stuff
4shared has a maximum of 10gb of free storage. Others that come to mind:
oron, filesonic, filesmonster, rapidshare

Yeah, 200MB a file for MediaFire now - not good at all! Sure it used to be higher than that!
Cheers man :-) Glad you found it useful!

4Shared is great, but you need to sign in to download stuff.

Is that true? You have to have a 4Shared account if you want to download any 4Shared file?
Edit: Just tested it - you are right. Thanks for posting that, because I would have just carried on using it (I set up an account a few hours ago and had already begun to upload Crush On Hardcore 4!)
Back to the drawing board!

I use Rapidshare. I'm not even sure if there is a limit on a free account to be honest, I just know they start to delete your files after a while if they haven't been downloaded. You could always just download them off another computer to refresh it though I suppose.

I've been looking around at quite a few now, and it's basically impossible to get all all four things for free (1. good single file limit, 2. good total space limit, 3. good download limit and 4. permanent files).
I'm looking at one called SlingFile, and everything's really generous, but there is a 30 day policy on un-downloaded files.
I will simply add a note to my website (on the Free Albums page) asking people to e-mail me directly if they find any dead links. I'll just re-upload them as and when necessary. Can't be dealing with keeping track of forty or fifty links - the date of their last download and all that. Aggro.
Fcuk me, man. MegaUpload - didn't appreciate how good I had it!

Ignore that. SlingFile doesn't seem to like rar file so I'll be sacking that off.
Still totally open to suggestions if people know any that are proven/good?

Yeah, I had considered that mate. Most of them are sub-200MB anyway really. That's definitely an option if I can't find something that ticks all the boxes :-)

Oron allows a person to download a file up to 1000mb without having to own a premium acct. just not sure what the limit is for uploading.
also Filepost is another site that comes to mind, although I'm not sure if it's any good.
