Right im just gonna do a general run down of the scene in brisbane, we dont have a HUGE hhc night like you wont see events that are just HHC its usually everything
Right In june we have an event coming up called Winterbass. 29th june at our biggest rave venue called 'The Arena' Event page is here (because i cbf typing it all out) --> https://www.facebook.com/events/318251894891640/ The group that runs this is called Asylum entertainment and their page is --->https://www.facebook.com/Asylum.Entertainment.Brisbane?ref=ts A nightclub here in Brisbane called Family is put forward as australia's best nightclub. They tend to cater to ravers on a friday night. So far we've had people like : s3rl, ravine, Zatox, b-front, the prophet(hes playing in two weeks) so they pull big international artists. Steve hill (if you've heard of him? i know its hard trance but its still part of the scene) usually comes to Brisbane every 3 months, bringing someone with him, especially if he has big names he usually pulls a solid crowd. There is a few events coming up that have HHC featuring in them but untill they are announced i cant give you info :( There is a new hard dance club night starting in brisbane on 14th april you can find its page here --> https://www.facebook.com/AffinityBrisbane There is a group called brisbane ravers on Facebook that should keep you up to date on everything as well as new dj mixes etc --> https://www.facebook.com/groups/333214308851/ Failing all of these a company in sydney called Powerhouse productions puts on raves every few months, I dont know your financial situation but its pretty cheap (around $150-$250) to fly to sydney for these events. His next party has gammer who's never been here before so thats exciting, kinda hoping he makes it to brisbane, but anyway their page is ---> https://www.facebook.com/powerhouseproductions hope this helps :) if you have any questions dont be afraid to ask :)

If that doesn't change you wont be going anywhere at all. This is Australia bro, here the distance our cities are apart is about the same distance as driving from bottom of Wales to top of Scotland. And you won't be hearing that sort of era hardcore anywhere in this country either. But yeh, HHC features at most sydney gigs. I agree with you about flying, though it's kinda funny - when q-dance first came out here I know several people that followed them from Syd to Bris to Mel. Now we get defqon and whatnot they all come to sydney. Shame they don't do the proper rave productions any more though.

Not too bothered about driving for family outings etc, just not to a rave. Im gonna be shipping all my records over to Aus, just wondering if there would be anyone to play them to.

I heard about Defqon, mostly the newer hardcore tracks and such right? Ive wanted to move to Aussie for awhile now, seems there's enough rave action going on. The only rave I've ever been to was a shitty dubstep rave in South Carolina here in the US, haven't found any hardcore raves nearby :(
