Megaupload was a good upload space, I moved over to mediafire a long while ago for my mix downloads but Megavideo always had so many TV shows and such on it for so long...I'm not surprised it was doing illegal stuff really. You can find the entire Anime of Pokemon on Megavideo alone, all seasons right from the first ones right to the ones airing today. On youtube they take down clips 10 minutes long after a week of it being uploaded...they were always very lax about their videos for sure.

They had a server in Virginia, and because that server had illegal content on it the US had jurisdiction over them as a company.

Lol poor megaupload. I used to find a lot of songs there back in my pirating days. Even saw a few full episodes of drawn together on there too.

I found them pretty useful but they sorta explicitly promoted piracy. On the homepage there were "links" to promotion videos by many celebs and one of the movie actors said something like "From Megaupload I download and upload everything from music to movies". Its like holding a sign "Piracy FTW!"
