I have asperger's autism but im pretty much fully functional; i would really like to help out towards research & kids with autism that have it alot worse then i do. The online hardcore community seems to be the wisest choice since thats what im mostly associated with and we all seem like a close knit family.
im looking to do an album for the charity "autism speaks", but in order for this to happen i would need producers, mcs, graphic designers, vocalist and anyone that can simply spread the word to come together. maybe this idea seems stupid because im just a "genericore" producer or maybe this is something that can work.
i would need anyone thats willing to help contact me

You have to factor out a lot of things when it comes to something like putting out an album. I'm going to give you a run down of things that I would think of. I'm a business man inside a technology major's body.
1) Are you going to be selling CDs?
2) Is it going to be a digital release?
Taking in those two things you then have to figure out other forms. CDs cost a lot to produce, and shipping is something you have to factor into the price. And are potential customers going to buy a CD from some group of people they potentially never heard of? I would put hard cash on no, and you shouldn't even remotely think about it.
Your best avenue is to do a fully digital released. And there are plenty of people on this site you could pull talent from if they were willing and able. We have some here who are majoring in digital art (Arch) and you can ask him to do an album cover. This would be the perfect place for all here whom are are masters, and novices, to be able to put together towards a project for a greater cause. I'm sure everyone on this site has at least thought about making a song, and more then half have the means too. This could be a project for the site in-between HHC.com mixes.
Now, back to business. A digital release would be the easiest way to get to our audiences whom are forever looking for more music (aren't we all?). Here is where the money comes into play through this all. You can host the music and sell it off your own site, but how many would be willing to go to a site and enter in information they don't trust? Next to none outside this site, I can tell you that much. So that means putting music up on Junodownload, Trackitdown, etc. What do all these places have in common? They take a cut for putting your song(s) up to download. You have to factor in pricing to the whole equation, as money is the key for both profit and non-profit.
A faster way to get it out to the masses is uploading the album on YouTube (which I would gladly do as I had before for the site, and the Raver's Addition).
Putting this all together I could see this turning into a site-wide project for us to do again, and the cause of it all is something for the greater good. Selling the release for cheap increases our chance of selling, you just have to find the apex of demand.

hmm, not to be a grey cloud, but if you want to make money for a good cause, hardcore isn't the way to go.
id say unless you got big names involved, you're better off trying somthing else..

It'd be a fun project for the entire site either way, and no one said it had to be JUST hardcore..

I've spoke to a few people involved in hardcore; im jus waiting on replys. and yes it doesnt have to be hardcore or even music for that matter; im thinking of buying supplies to make hemp stuff so i could sell hemp jewelry for this project. possibly not even do an album, do more of a record label type thing.
