wasnt command & conquer not made for the PS1 originally? :P
Don't think so no!? Pretty sure it was PC originally and ported (badly) to PS.* I've tried playing the few releases that went out on console such as AOE2, C&C series but it just doesn't work with a controller. Also on the earlier consoles resolution was a HUGE issue, you couldn't see sod all of the battlefield. :P
Best attempt I ever played on a console was Herzog Zwei on the Mega Drive.
Check it out if you can, it was good fun. Split screen 2 player as well. 8)
*edit
Just looked up the C&C release. Originally released for MS DOS in 95, PS release was late 96. ;) (Yes I'm bored).

Was having a rummage through my old games trying to decide what to keep and what to trade in (as well as trying to convince myself there IS life after MW3 - at least until Black Ops 2) and thought id give Rage another try.
Last played it in January, remember being bored/frustrated by it. How wrong was i! Played it for about 5 hours solid and absolutely loving it.

Rage was a mayor dissapointment.
1. Very huge install
2. Very short game (even shorter than Quake 2/4)
3. Racing was poor tbh
4. No Shooter Multiplayer
5. ****ing racing multiplayer
Other than that, I can't say the game was frustrating.

Finally seen the light then. ;) It's a fantastic game, one of the best single player FPS experiences I've had in a while. Does start a little slow but once you get through the first couple of missions it's amazing!

Yes mate, glad i went back to it.
I can count one one hand the number of games i haven't finished, this won't be one of them!
Sort of agree with Scrooge's comments about the racing but that's just in there for variety, not a big problem in the overall scheme of things. Funnily enough i have no interest in the multiplayer side of the game so happy with the campaign (that's only short if you ignore all the extra stuff which i happen to enjoy).
Part of me is now saying i should have given Fallout 3 more of a chance.....

Glad to hear it. :) I'm the same with finishing games, unfortunately I have a big love for 60+ hour RPG's so I don't get to play that many these days. :P Saves me some money at least though haha. I'm not keen on the racing sections but I mostly ignored them really so it's no biggy. I do actually enjoy cruising the wasteland though and taking out bandits.
Fallout 3 is one of my favourite games of recent years really. The shooting in it isn't great but it's more the exploration and discovery of all the back stories and quirky characters that makes it for me. Plus it has the best game soundtrack ever and I'm a sucker for a post-apocalyptic setting!
I'm quite excited for Bethesda's new game Dishonoured as well -

Rage tried pretty hard to hide how linear a game it was, very short simple game. Well worth sticking with it though for the best end boss in any computer game ever. Epic.
