We have another special edition of Hard Hits in store for you all! We are calling this one the
XX Edition. Every human born is the result of the pairing of XY chromosomes or XX
chromosomes. An XX pairing results in the person developing as a female and that is exactly
what all of our DJ's for this month have in common! We have gathered them from near and
far and these lovely ladies will be bringing the Hard Hits as we celebrate women this August.
Let your inner-female run wild this night.
We also hope that all of you girls out there take notice of these lady DJ's and step up to take
more active roles in our local hardcore scene. Whether it be through DJ'ing or joining local
crews to help throw events, the local hardcore scene could use some more X-chromosomes
to shape what happens in the future. :)
Our special guest comes to us from her current base of London where her recent
accomplishments have been a guest spot on Kutski's Radio1 show and playing a classic set at
the final Freeformation. She and Uplift are the faces behind Raw Elements. Together they host
the Raw Elements show weekly on kraftyradio.com (Thursdays, 2-4PM EST) and they have
just released an album called Hardcore Elements available through the Raw Elements online
store and itunes. Yes, we are talking about Sc@r, the first lady of hardcore!
Our second guest joins us from Toronto where she was involved with the legendary
GoodFellaz crew. But, for those of us on this side of the border, we got our first taste of her
through the Totally Sweet Radio show on happyhardcore.com many years ago. You may have
also heard her Japanese hardcore collaboration mix with Virus' Konnichiwa series. We are
proud to welcome Scoots to Hard Hits!
Artemis is no stranger to us locals here in the New England scene, but what is special about
her this time is that she will be dropping a full set of breakbeat hardcore for the first time
ever!
Leela of Dream Hard Productions is back to grace us with her awesome choonage sprinkled
with some drum and bass!
b, better known as bb of Plurtrain, steps from the mic to the decks with old-schooler I.C.
Starrs to give us a one-of-a-kind closing classic hardcore set for the evening.
Stickers will be available again for people that pay the cover in exact change (no coins) and
for those that purchase a shirt or bikini top. Hard Hitters shirts will be available at the event
for $10. Bikini tops for $15.
