i'm not sure about that system... like it's all very well for all us djing people, but don't you think it's a bit unfair for everyone else. basically it means if you're a dj, you get rated. if you're not, you don't.

drugs is not the answer... drugs? is the question... yes is the answer

Oh I though it was gonna complement the Post==>Stars ranking system. I didn't think it was gonna *replace* it. In that case, yeah pacman's right, non-DJ's are gonna get screwed ...

... but really, how screwed are they gonna be? It's just a ranking, after all - the only two ranks that really matter are "Administrator" and "Moderator". There are no additional powers attached to other rankings, are there? Otherwise we could have a certain advanced member (no names mentioned) deleting every msg that has something *positive* to say about f&f

Not really... it shows how much you are giving back to the hardcore community by buying hardcore vinyl and CD's... It's to promote hardcore sales.

Wow ... like don't get me wrong, I'm all for people buying HHC music and all, but I've never heard someone make it sound so deep: "... how much you are giving back to the hardcore community." You make it sound as if we're giving blood to the Red Cross or something. I never considered it a sacrifice - after all, we're getting The Greatest Music Ever in return

Seriously though, I understand what you're doing and I agree wholeheartedly. My concern is for those people who love HHC as much as you or I but for reasons of finance or geography (have you seen how much they charge for shipping nowadays? geez!) don't have such easy access to the music. I know I joked earlier that the points and rankings don't really matter, but they do in the sense that they're a prominent (albeit shallow) means of assessing someone worth. It'd make it just that much more difficult for such people to get attention, if you know what I mean.

I dunno, maybe I'm just thinking about it too much. I tend to do that when I have more important things to do, such as legal research essays like the one I'm supposed to be doing.

I am sure everyone can afford just one CD, for a Christmas present or whatever... it's not much to ask I think... plus it's totally optional.

optional? as in it's not gonna replace the post-slut system?

You can find the Records collection under the Records menu above. Sadly it hasn't been updated for years, and now it's just better of using discogs instead :P

Ok, so what does it mean where it says 195 hardcore releases by your name (it says that by yours)

Do you make hardcore tunes? I'm sure only people like Dougal and Gammer made that many

It was pretty nice to see that Funky_14uk got their star though. It's made my day anyway.
