I know alot of you, more perticularilly from the U.S. are going to argue with me on this, but trust me, i have proof!
Anabolic Frolic is not the father of the north amercican Happy Hardcore scene.
The one Hardcore DJ who everybody loved in Toronto was Dominik. and as far as i know he was the only Hardcore in North America at the present time.
Now I'm sure alot of you are saying "But Dominik spins Rotterdamn?", well thats not intierly true. He may only spin Rotterdamn now, but way back when, he use to spin the happy waaayyyy before anyone ever even herd of Anabolic Frolic!!!

I'll sleep a little easier tonight knowing that anabolic frolic was, indeed, NOT the first hardcore dj in North America.

I always thought it was common knowledge that Dominik had been spinning happy hardcore long before frolic. Actually I think if u ask around a lot of the older Canadian djs and partiers will tell u what got them hooked on the hardcore was a Dominik tape that someone had given or they had found at a party.
But although Dominik used to spin happycore b4 Frolic I don’t think he ever promoted any Happy Hardcore events (or none that where extremely significant I guess).
Whether you think Frolic is a good dj or not doesn’t matter. His Hullabaloo parties were probably one of the best things to come along to really get happy hardcore going in Canada and NA, initially. That's why he is refered to as the father of NA HHC.

Anabolic did throw the first BIG hardcore event, however Frisky threw the first ever Hardcore event in North America.
And the only reason why i care is because when ever he's spining and i say "Some one pleas shoot this man (Frolic)", hords of pp, say "Show some respect, we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him", and it just makes me so mad that ppl actually like that no talent credit taker.
The only reason why Dominik isn't taking credit for what he started is because he doesn't care, and he figures that we'd find out about hardcore some other way.

I know exactly what your saying man.
But really you’re making a little too big of a deal out of this.
As people listen more to the music, and become more educated about it, they themselves will come to see that Frolic isn't a great DJ. I’m no fan of his either.
What actually does matter is that Frolic has helped push the hardcore sound a hell of a lot, and what he did really helped get things going (his parties still do attract people to the hardcore sound). So some people call him the father of hardcore. Does that take away from the fact that Frisky, Dominik countless other very talented individuals have done a lot for the scene in Toronto...no.
Just be happy for the how Frolics parties have helped spread hardcore, instead of waste your time with idle things like these.
Instead of being negative, be POSITIVE. Enjoy the parties. Try to encourage a positive vibe...negative comments like that (shooting Frolic) at parties just kill the vibe and push others apart, not something the scene needs right now.
Here's another thought, next time frolic is spinning a) don't go or b) leave the room when he gets on the decks.
