Shit the bed! The HU crew have done a whole year of radio shows! Its been a great year for Hardcore Underground; 2 sold out & critically acclaimed albums, 4 vinyl releases and a handful of digital releases, several tracks on Radio 1, DJ support from the big players, 2 events and several big lineup appearances for Fracus & Darwin, and a partridge in a pear tree.
So what does 2010 hold? More amazing music? More exposure for one of the greatest labels around? More ground breaking albums? A regular well earned slot on big lineups for the HU boys? More radio shows featuring the cream of UK hardcore like Brisk, Sharkey, Marc Smith, Darwin & Fracus? More rhetorical questions destined only to fill space before the money shot of information?
I can answer none of these questions because I am technically not involved in Hardcore Underground. I am however the Han Solo to their Luke Skywalker, the Cheech to their Chong, the Paul to their Barry Chuckle if you will. I can tell you one thing though, the last HU show of 2009 will be a celebration of some of the amazing music we call UK hardcore from 2000 onwards. Expect loads of classic Breeze & Styles, Scott Brown, Sy & Unknown, Brisk & Ham, Gammer and of course Fracus & Darwin. Its only an hour long show but I'll do my best!
