what exactly is 'nu skool breakz' . i saw it on this Cd by Rennie Pilgrem who claims to be the 'founder' of this 'new' style of Breaks music ... ???

Nu Skool breaks are basically slow Tech Step.

Like hard, dark, techy jungle except at 140 BPM. Well at least the good stuff. A lot of the trance producers are doing cheesy Nu Skool - Progressive trance style, but I personally find it very boring. And even when it done in a more progressive/pretty fasion it tends to have very dark sounding bass riffs. If you're at a rave and you walk into a room and think "Hey cool, it's hard dark jungle.... but why is it so damn slow" then it's probably Nu Skool :)

I hope no one named a label Nu Skool Breakz hehe. Adam owns Marine Parade and Rennie owns Thursday Club Records (TCR) as far as I know
