Righteo mate, I can definately see what your doing with this, and to an extent, your usingt he right sounds and stuff for slow kinda track.

But you HAVE to leave it at least an hour before you decide to call it finished. Things sound so much different when you havent been listening to the same track for so long. As whoever from Ionosphere said, when you listen to music, your mind kinda transforms something out of tune into something that sounds okay. have another listen and you will find that allot of this is out of tune and it doesnt flow right as result.

Also, try adding some pads. They are a wonderful way to send the listener into a trance. Also, some experiemental sounds that are also soothing, rather than the constant pluck. Also, bring up the bass a bit more. I nice deep bass only assists in getting the right feel of the song.

As it happens, I've done a very similar track to this, only it was a remix of a FFX song. Its a nice slow burining track. Its not 100% perfect by any means, but its a nice example. I would send the FLP, but thats stuck in my old crashed HDD..

Here it is: http://www.4shared.com/file/89848841/d698747b/Besaid.html

i like the idea of people trying diff BPM tracks..

the great thing about doing stuff at slow speed.. is u can bring so many things in.
ry and move away from the old hardcore structure of a track.. not all hats have to be on the off beat. you can bring more of them into play as you have more 'time'

initial melody is lovely..
dont like second one which clashes and crashes with first one.
you're pretty good at breakdowns though.. i like that part.

almost sound like depeche mode.. (do u know them? - very famous 80's band)
good skills..

agree with the above too.. some pads would be nice.
