Here's a track ive been recently slaving over. Its a generic hardcore tune, so there's not allot of experimentation involved.
If you have any feedback, or suggestions, feel free to post them! I really want to hear any constructive critisism that can help me improve it or my skills.

Just tried to have a listen by my hearing is screwed at the moment (think it's an infection). My opinions from what I could hear I think the kick could do with a bit more substance, it lacks presence maybe another layer and add a bit of bass using the EQ's. Same with the bass it sounds a bit thin imo. Lead sound is nice and the melody is pretty sweet but when that comes in the kick nearly vanishes. Could do with a bit or perc too.
Just my opinions but do bare in mind my hearing is fooked

if I'm not wrong this is your first original track rigth? well its very good man, I remember you told me you where not very good with the creativity stuff... ********! this track proves the opposite. as you say its a generic tune, but still is nice to listen it to. keep it up :)
and I agree with Mortis about the kick

yeah think your right about the kick. The version displayed on 4shared is a newer version, and since rendering the older one, i must have done something to the kick. Perhaps it needs a little more low end?
And thanks Naturatech :) its nice to get something original out. Took enough time to make the melody, though... Thats what I struggled on quite a bit. Finding something that sounds right and that flows right. Still, mission mostly accomplished this time around!

Yep. Too much click not enough kick. This is kind of personal preference but i like my kicks to boom. Its a very Freeformy tune so a nice big (but perhaps not distotred) kick drum would sound good, try putting a nice subby kick under your main kick and EQ the two so they dont interfere with one another. When all the elements are playing at once the kick kinda gets lost, till the click is more noticable than the boom.
I struggle with melodies and leads too mate so i know where youre coming from, what did you use to make your main lead synth? Sounds good. I think at about 0.55 and again at 2.30 or there abouts where that background melody (the low-passed sounding one) comes in it all starts to sound a bit muddy, could do with a bit more harsh EQ/ filtering. Do you have a Frequency Analyser? If not id really recommend one, try Blue Cat FreqAnalyst its free but its probably my most valuable tool, that and the filters. The off beat hat sounds a bit too loud in th mix, but other than what ive mentioned its not bad mate. That klittle break at 4.00 is especially nice, like that synth. Thats about it mate, youre lucky youre getting that much feedback as im in a very bad mood at the mo lol

As I said its a good track! sounds much better with orignal work than all the remixes;) ur good with orignal stuff:)

@ meathead - thats a great load of feedbak! I'll grab the freq. analyser and make sure I keep them all seperate. I'll work on geting a better click. maybe even replacing it all together.
@ fishy, thanks again :) I'll keep at work with the original stuff.
I'll do the needy adjustments and reupload and let you all know about it in this thread (no point in starting another). Thanks again for the advice :) appreciated!

Cant really add to much to what's been said. It's a well enough written track and would sound great but needs work a fair bit of work on the mix.
