Hey guys
First of all please bare with me im new so im hoping i have put this in the right section
Myself and a few others have just started our own online radio station , its called Dance Transmission and has only been going 2 weeks but doing well
We are nearing the 100 member mark and have a great community of members and DJ's
The styles of music that are played is all forms of underground music and we are currently on the look out for more DJ's to join the team which is why i am posting here
The aim of the site is simply to give listeners what they want to hear and for DJ's to showcase their talent
We are a non profit site and all we want to achieve is to do our little bit for the rave scene and keep the rave family going
We have a friendly chatroom with a video and audio stream as well as a forum where you can find mixes from our DJ's ,
The site is currently still being worked on but it is mainly cosmetic work as everything else is put in place and up and running
The only requirement we have is that DJ's have access to a set up , a PC and an internet connection
Our ultimate aim is to maybe put on an event and if it does well then who knows but of course this will not happen untill we get more established so for now we are concentrating on the site and then who knows
If you are interested in a slot be it a guest slot or a permanant one please feel free to get in contact , if you want to check the place out then you are more than welcome it would be good to see you and you will always be made to feel welcome weather it is just as a member or a dj so hopefully see you soon

oo nice one! "dancetransmission" is a really good url for a dance radio station, even sounds like a good name for an event!
how does it all work? do we submit mixes or is it live?
i think the website needs a bit of an overhaul, at the moment it has that plasticy feel that pre-built webpages tend to have and a good logo!
also, you should think about changing that KAM turntable thats in the background...
its kinda like putting a 1992 ford fiesta as the background for a Aston Martin Vanquish website :)

Thank you very much for your response DjTriquatra if you dont mind im going to copy and paste your post to the other owners as all feedback and imput is welcome
The way it works is we use windows media encoder which is a live audio and video stream (although vid isnt essential)
DJ's play from their homes (or where ever their set up may be) live on air
DJ's are able to use either CDJ , Vinyl or PC software to mix its purely their choice
People come in chat along with the live DJ and we all sit chatting whilst listening to the tunes , most DJ's do requests etc its all about what the listeners want to hear and what the DJ is happy with :)
When there is no live DJ there is always an archived set playing so there is always tunes on
We are getting a fair few in chat now and have over 100 members signed up in just 15 days of being up and running so its not doing too bad :)
Like you say we still have a little way to go and we are working to get everything looking good its all mainly cosmetic stuff on site now so live streams should not be interupted at all
Like i say thank you very much for the feedback its just what we need to get the place looking and running as the members want as it is all about them :)
